BIG Fest After Party
After the concerts, the fun continues at the after parties! This year, the festival will include an exciting after programme where visitors will be able to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, excellent music and refreshing drinks.
Igor Leonardi, known for his ethnic music skills and collaborations with music legends, and Ana Vipotnik, an outstanding performer of folk songs and jazz standards, will join the party with their incredible performances. This duo brings a touch of the world-music scene and will provide you with unforgettable moments. The after programme of the second day will be particularly interesting because it will include the promotion of Damir Halilić Hal’s video album 6&12 (BONUS 9). This project includes more than 40 video clips, and audiences will have the opportunity to see Hal’s incredible technical and artistic skills on 6 and 12 string guitars. The album will be officially released before Christmas, making this event an exclusive opportunity to get a first look at this unique music release.
To make the evening even more pleasant, the KuSshh Bar will offer a variety of Mediterranean aromas from the island of Krk such as spirits – including award-winning gins, brandies and liqueurs – and refreshing natural sage flower juices. Wine lovers will be able to enjoy the award-winning wines of the Katunar Estate Winery. This will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy first-class drinks in the company of friends and other music lovers.
Movie screenings:
Music evenings will be made even more exciting by movie screenings in the open air: on the first day of the festival, Whiplash, a highly acclaimed film by Damien Chazelle about the relationship between a talented drummer and his strict teacher, which won three Oscars, and on the second day Almost Famous, a coming-of-age comedy directed by Cameron Crowe, which follows 15-year-old William on the path of musical discovery. This film won the Oscar for best original screenplay.
Photo exhibition:
Along with music and film, we also bring you some artistic magic! Multimedia artist Nikša Čorić will present the exhibition ‘Méditerranée mystique’ in the refectory of St Lucy’s. Born in 1960 in Makarska, Čorić brings a unique perspective with his works through classic painting techniques and non-conventional combinations such as acrylic and oil, and 3D impasto techniques.
Inspired by the composition and video clip ‘Méditerranée mystique’ by Damir Halilić Hal, Čorić exhibits photos of mrgari – distinctive sheepfolds with a floor plan in the shape of a flower.
