All of Baška’s trails and many other locations in and around Baška, will host the 9th Baška Outdoor Festival, a weekend filled with activities for cyclists, hikers, climbers, and all those who want to get to know Baška in a completely new way. With a diverse program and a growing number of registered participants every year, accompanying music performances and a multitude of activities in which everyone can find an adventure for themselves, we have made sure that this year’s Baška Outdoor Festival will be full of unforgettable moments and fun times!

EVERYONE COME TO BAŠKA FOR THE 9TH OUTDOOR FESTIVAL!

As part of the 9th Outdoor Festival, which will be held from October 13 to 15, the Baška Municipality Tourist Board offers visitors who want outdoor sports programs the enjoyment of five attractive outdoor sports programs, from trail running, mountain biking, through hiking to rock climbing and ziplining, all with special accommodation benefits and many additional programmes that are richer than ever! The autumn outdoor weekend will be marked by great entertainment for outdoor enthusiasts in the inevitable Porto beach club, but also for the youngest athletes in the Baška Outdoor kids corner!

This most popular off-season event attracts numerous visitors to Baška: the mid-October weekend is traditionally reserved for enjoying both Baška’s autumn atmosphere and its numerous outdoor activities, in the company of professional and recreational outdoor athletes from all over Croatia and the wider region. Those who pursue an active and sporty lifestyle will find an activity for themselves in the packed three-day programme of this year’s edition of the festival, which is organised by the Baška Tourist Board in partnership with Valamar and numerous sports event organisers.

The programme begins on Friday 13 October with the Zip & Fly, adventure, organised in cooperation with Zipline Edison. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday during BOF (with prior notice), all adventurers will have the opportunity to ride in an off-road vehicle, walk in natural surroundings, and zipline down a cable longer than two kilometres at a promotional price! The ride of a lifetime, which lasts approximately two hours and offers stunning views of Baška, the sea, the island of Prvić and the beautiful karst landscape, is a unique experience that you won’t want to miss!

On Saturday 14 October, there will be many challenges for Baška Outdoor Festival visitors, the biggest being maybe the question of which activity to choose. For those interested in a cycling competition, Adria Bike is organising the 7th edition of the now legendary Krk'n'Roll MTB Marathon (e-bike and MTB) with three courses of different lengths (70, 45 and 30 km) for both women and men. Trail runners can look forward to the 13th edition of Krk'n'Trail (Krk Island Trail), the first Croatian trail race organised by the Trekking League in three categories: 7, 14 and 24 kilometres, which makes it suitable for both recreational athletes and those looking for greater sporting challenges. It should be mentioned that the route passes along some of the lesser-known trails in the southern part of the island of Krk and through some of the most beautiful coves in the surroundings of Baška!

Baška is also ideal for sports climbing, an increasingly popular discipline in recent years, as it boasts as many as four well-equipped climbing areas suitable for both beginners and those for whom rock climbing is a way of life. Because of the great interest in climbing on natural rocks in the surroundings of Baška, we have organised climbing at two sites: Portafortuna on Saturday 14 October and Belove Stene on Sunday 15 October. The Touch the Sky programme is also suitable for beginners (aged 12 or over) under the supervision of the Anima Adventures expert team.

On Sunday 15 October, for those who prefer hiking, there will be the Rocky Hill Hike Tour along a 14,5 km route (Baška/Heritage hotel Forza - Zarok - Batomalj - Sanctuary of the Mother of God of Gorica - Lipica - Veliki Hlam - Vratudih Pass - Bratinac - Batomalj - Baška) in the company of an expert guide from Promotiv Travel Outdoor that will acquaint you with Baška and its surroundings. Given the incredible views and untouched nature along the way, we recommend that you bring your camera!

In addition to the sporting activities and competitions, the weekend programme of the Baška Outdoor Festival also includes interesting lectures, free workshops and great entertainment options for children!

On the first day of the Festival, Friday October 13th, don’t miss the fascinating travelogue „Here" with Dane Krstulović Opara, who will share with us the biggest 'outdoor’ adventure ever realised in Croatia, with which he made history of Croatian mountaineering. On October 18, this tireless adventurer set off on the adventure of a lifetime - the project consisted of crossing the whole of Croatia through 158 mountain and island peaks (5,000 km and 135,000 m of ascent), part of the Croatian Mountaineering Circuit, which took him two months and seven days. The highlight of this undertaking is that he did it all at once, something that no one in Croatia has ever done before. Also, he did not use any motorised  means of transport, but rather moved exclusively on his own: running / hiking, cycling and kayaking. The project was named 'Here' because with this adventure, Opara wanted to show that, to experience an adventure of this magnitude, you don’t need to travel to the other side of the world, because the adventure is 'here', in small, but unique Croatia.

What kind of Baška Outdoor Festival program would it be without some great music and entertainment? Exciting sports activities will be complemented by the always superb and special atmosphere in the after-race zone of the Baška Outdoor Festival, Porto Club Baška! As the sponsor of the entertainment part of the program, Porto Club Baška is making sure that everyone has the absolute best time, and this is ensured with the unique energy of our performers, the amazing Infinity band, currently one of the most popular cover bands in Croatia. Their comprehensive musical repertoire represents a true musical time machine that starts in the 60s and extends all the way to today. Their carefully selected hits ensure the best atmosphere and a good time that cannot leave anyone indifferent. Along with the Infinity band, Joe2Shine, DJ, producer, musician, sound stylist and music director of numerous famous clubs and festivals, will keep the atmosphere going until the early hours of the morning. He has been one of the most sought-after DJs in Croatia for several years now. Due to his refined musical taste, energetic and inspiring performances, and excellent interaction with the audience, he has become one of the most dominant figures on the Croatian house scene. On Sunday, Bacon & Blues Corp., a band of great blues and rock musicians, will entertain all those who spend their morning drinking coffee by the sea. These experienced musicians will easily win you over with their performance and repertoire based on the rock genre of the 60s and 70s.

The concerts are free for all participants, as well as other visitors, so join us at these fantastic shows and enjoy good music!

In this year’s festival, we haven’t forgotten our youngest participants either, for whom we have prepared various free activities (on 14 and 15 October) in the Outdoor Children’s Corner on the green areas of the Zvonimir Sunny Hotel by Valamar. A slackline, climbing on an artificial rock and a mountain bike school will introduce the youngest participants to the world of adventure.
